Voting is open for the third challenge over at Write Anything’s Form and Genre Challenge .
The challenge this week was a OULIPO Poem called Overused and Abused. It was a bit of a literary kick up the pants and reminder for me as I know I can be lazy with my word choices. Its quick – so please do pop over – I hope its sort of fun too.
The format I adopted was the snowflake method – where the first line is one word long, the second line has two words, and so on. In true spirit of OULIPO, I then brought the words back and down where the last line was one word – and then up again – sort of like a wave. I am hoping its all in the spirt of experimentation – there are another methods to write this style of poem – but boy – you need to be a mathematician to do it…

and when in doubt.. sci fi it.. Always makes it so much more palatable to write….
Voting is on the Write Anything Site.. polls close soon..
