100 Word Challenge Results

Filed under: published work — Annie Evett @ 12:01 am

The results are in and I am incredibly excited to start the year off with an acceptance – especially to an anthology whose roots and purpose will mean so much to those it supports.  The anthology, which will feature 100 flash fiction pieces of 100 words or less will directly benefit  One in Four (a registered charity which provides support and resources to people who have experienced sexual abuse and sexual violence).

Caroline  sent out a plea via twitter and facebook  and was blown away with the submissions she received ( I think 400 or so?)  – which really just goes to show the power of the social networking system.
I’m delighted to be rubbing shoulders with well known short story authors whom I have (stalked) on twitter and the like – as well as writers who I have connected with over the last few years via the blogosphere, facebook or twitter.
You can be sure I’ll be promoting it once its been edited ( professionally by Bubblecow) and is all ready in its shiny professional cover ( again by a well received designer.) Its all just a little bit exciting and deserves anther SQWEEEE from me.
