Tour Banner, SS copy
Stalking Shadows by Tahlia Newland is a novel aimed towards the young adult audience, but one which can be ( and should be) enjoyed by a range of readers. The second book in the Diamond Peak Series, this story  – and characters are by no means ready to lay down their swords and retire.  I fully expect a few more books following these characters ( and hope they come quickly!!)

Published  on the 8th of March 2013 by Catapult Press, its available now through a range of formats – check the bottom of this post for more details. It has been awarded  a gold medal (on the cover) by  the Awesome Indies Seal of Approval . As awesome as it is for one book, its amazing that is has been  awarded to both books – huge kudos to Tahlia and her talent.

Stalking Shadows 2+medAriel’s adventure continues along side the growing attraction she and Nick discover between them.  The basic plot is described below.
Ripped from the safety of our world and thrust into a strange hidden realm on a quest to save her mother, Ariel aims to confront the Master Demon, but first she must defeat his bodyguard and reach the safe haven of Sheldra. She negotiates dangerous terrain and battles demons, spirits, rogue Magicians, giant water snakes and her own conflicting emotions.

Ariel wants to retain a clear focus on the task at hand so, despite Nick’s protests, she insists of a friends-only relationship with him. But the very thing she hoped would simplify her quest only complicates it with emotional, energetic and hormonal turmoil.

Despite Walnut’s continued guidance, Ariel finds herself constantly forced to rely on her own resources. Will she find the inner strength and wisdom she needs to defeat Amic and continue her journey?

Tahlia keeps the pace lively, and the powder keg of frothing emotions bubbling. With no graphic scenes, its defiantly one you can safely give your teenager and be happy that there are no untoward themes being promoted. Its an enjoyable read and one not easily put down.
Congrats Tahlia for following up your first books so quickly with such a quality and exciting story!

I’d encourage  readers to follow Tahlia on Facebook and Twitter – leave messages for her as she loves to hear from fans.

Just for my readers for a short time, Tahlia has  Run, the prequel to the series as a free download, and Lethal Inheritance  ( the first book) is now only $2.99 – find these through the belwo channels when you go looking for her newest novel.
